Marcin Paszko. Board Member
A graduate in Law from the University of Wrocław. His passion is organizing cultural events and promoting Polish films for Spanish audiences. He also has organized charity events such as the Grand Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Madrid in collaboration with Polish Institutions and associations. Marcin is pursuing a PhD in Chinese Migration and Culture in Spain and is involved in migration projects in Europe.
Joanna Bardzinska. Director
PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University in Madrid and a MA degree in Hispanic Philology from Warsaw University, she is a licensed translator of Polish and Spanish, author of literary translations (Provocación, El hospital de la transfiguración, de S. Lem). Researcher of cinema and theatre, her latest publications: La doble vida de Krzysztof Kieślowski (Donostia Kultura, 2015); El camino inverso: del cine al teatro (MHRA, 2014). She was awarded a Thesaurus Poloniae Fellowship from the Minister of Culture and Cultural Heritage in Poland (2013) and a Fellowship from the Kościuszko Foundation in New York (2014). As a promoter of Polish culture abroad, she has colaborated with the Asociación Cultural Hispano-Polaca Forum and the Polish Cultural Institute in Madrid.
Elzbieta Bortkiewicz. Board Member
Polish culture promoter in Spain and acclaimed translator of Polish literature to Spanish, from prose (Witkiewicz, Bruno Schulz, Jozef Wittlin, Andrzej Stasiuk, Ida Fink) to poetry (Wisława Szymborska, Ewa Lipska, Adam Zagajewski, Zbigniew Herbert, Karol Wojtyła) and theatre (Tadeusz Różewicz. Adam Schaffer, Marek Kochan, Wojciech Kuczok). Awarded in 1994 The Prize for cultural diffusion abroad from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. She is the President of the Asociación Cultural Hispano-Polaca Forum in Spain.
